This was truly a new beginning for them, they made sweet love for the first time and it was beautiful.
I love the way they are communicating now, talking about everything and anything, and not holding back, but being considerate of the other feelings. It took them a lot of time, effort and tears, but they have come a long way.

There were so many fantastic things to love about this story, and one of my favorite things is how the conversation about Edward’s inheritance didn’t even rate a mention in AA5. It is beautifully ironic that one of the most common hurdles to a relationship isn’t even a blip on the radar in this relationship between two people that had so many other hurdles.

My other favorite thing was how Youngward and Bella are truly, wholly, finally on equal footing. They accept the other fully, good and bad and everything in between, and their sustained eye contact during such an intimate moment was the perfect physical representation of that.

And this?

She saw who I was and trusted me—in spite of the naïve boy I’d been and the angry man I’d been lately, instead putting her faith in the partner she knew I could become with patience and healing.

Incredible! In one flawless sentence, you perfectly sum up the very complex dynamics of their relationship.

You really can see how much of a change Bella has made throughout this chapter–with the money issue and sex. She treated sex and the idea of love very differently in the beginning of their relationship to now–time after their break-up. I also give her props for being so understanding about Edward’s past relationships, haha–it’s been awhile since AA5, but I’m sure BPOV was hurt when she found out about Kate, of course with EPOV it doesn’t truly seem so. Grant it, they were apart and its what Bella chose, you as a person want your partner only to pine for you and exclude themselves from others–so selfish, but I think we do. Great update, as always

I needed some Youngward tonight! Thanks to both you and WickedCicada for all you share with us. I remember reading this chapter and thinking
how touching it was when Bella commented, “I think I just lost my virginity.” But coupling that along with Edward’s inner dialogue makes is doubly so. Thanks for the update.

I loved the moment in the car – his fear over what Bella might do when she found out about his money and her no-nonsense reaction.

Really enjoyed their emotional reunion. Beautiful.

So sweet. I remember in Bella’s POV when she described the moments after this (I think right at the beginning of the next chapter?)…”And so we began again, and again….” I think that would fit both POV’s perfectly. I love that this seems like they are on the exact same plane now. Edward seems to truly “come of age” especially since he seemed to have been able to recognize all the flaws of the past and know how to correct/prevent them in the future.

Thanks for keeping it classy (as always) in respect to the money/inheritance issue. I feel that when I read fics that throw around an actual number to worth, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth (so to speak).
